Constant sans/serif
Ziel des Projektes war, einen Font zu gestalten. Anhand von einigen skizzierten Buchstaben begann ich im Programm Glyphs meinen eigenen Font zu realisieren. Zuerst entstand eine Serifenschrift. Es ging mir darum, dass der Körper die gleiche Strichdicke hat wie die Serifen. Die Schrift soll schwer wirken. Neben der Realisierung des Fonts galt es auch, das Kerning verschiedener Buchstabenkombinationen genauer zu untersuchen. In dem Prozess lernte ich das Wort Typografie von einer ganz neuen Seite kennen.
Constant sans/serif
The goal of the project was to design a font. On the basis of I started to create my own font in the Glyphs program using a few sketched letters. First, I created a serif font. I wanted the body to have the same stroke thickness as the serifs. The font should appear heavy. In addition to realizing the font, I also had to examine the kerning of different letter combinations more closely. In the process, I got to know the word typography from a completely new perspective.
